For the first time ever, Nike today released all four of their famed silos—Mercurial, Hypervenom II, Magista and Tiempo Legend V—with rich kangaroo leather. Together, they’re dubbed the Tech Craft Pack, and needless to say, they look stunning.
Nike has taken a super soft kangaroo leather upper and laid it over the top of the original upper of their cleats. Players will enjoy the amazing touch and feel of leather alongside all of the revolutionary technology that we have come to know and expect from Nike cleats.
“Tech Craft encompasses our ‘no-compromise’ philosophy,” says Nathan VanHook, Nike Football Senior Design Director.
“Players don’t have to choose between materials like Flyknit and leather; they can have the benefits of both in one premium pair of boots.”
Mercurial Superfly
A Dynamic Fit Collar and a Flywire upper hugs the ankle, making the cleat feel like it is an extension of your leg. Flywire cables run up the sides of the cleat adding support and a locked in fit. The extra leather layer provides a snug fit for your foot, softens any touch, and keeps its shape during play, even in the harshest of environments.
A carbon fiber outsole combines with a hidden heel counter in the upper of Leather nike mercurial superfly to create a comfortable fit, built to last you 90+ minutes. The split-toe design isolates the big toe and first metatarsal to help enhance your agility and pace.
Magista Obra
Playmaking is reborn with this kangaroo leather covered Magista Obra. The Obra has a Flyknit upper with supportive Brio cables that lock the foot in place. The Brio cables and leather create a touch that can’t be compared.
Compressed nylon and Pebax (a nylon based plastic) make up the outsole. This material allows the outsole to flex naturally with the foot while still maintaining stability. Conical studs allow for easy turns and take offs.
Hypervenom Phantom II
Nikeskin mesh and kangaroo leather combine to create a one of a kind fit and feel that can only be found in a Hypervenom. This never-before-seen upper utilizes Magwire to help hug the foot like a sock. The softness of the leather with the cushioned feel of the mesh makes for a great touch.
A combination of conical and bladed studs provide incredible traction. The lightweight outsole reduces weight while still maintaining support. The split-toe outsole design allows for a more barefoot feel when accelerating and sprinting.
Tiempo Legend V
The Tiempo, Nike’s longtime classic leather cleat, finally has some leather siblings. A mesh backing adds another level of comfort, giving you a personalized fit.
A new outsole of new tech craft tiempo design provides unparalleled support for the full 90 minutes. A dual-density design and stud pattern supply ultimate flexibility without sacrificing support. Conical and bladed studs combine to give you the best transitions and acceleration.
