Nike MagistaX Proximo TF HyperTurquoiseLeaked

From a performance perspective, you get everything you’d expect from the Nike MagistaX Proximo right through the upper of the boot. Once you slip your feet into them, comfort becomes the norm. The entire upper of the Obra envelopes around your foot like no other boot does, and the collar completes a very dynamic fit and feel. Even across the area where a tongue normally exists, the soft knit upper sits flush and provides a snug fit in the right areas. Technically, the boots could be worn without laces but with them in tied you get to really personalize a secure fit.



At this point we are pretty familiar with Nike Flyknit, but as a refresher it is intended to defy conventional shoe manufacturing processes by effectively implementing an engineered upper woven from special yarns. Utilizing a custom Nike last and Nike Flyknit construction, MagistaX offers a snug fit at the arch, heel and forefoot, and the added element of a Dynamic Fit collar hugs players in, locking them down in the boot.

Around the lip of the shoe, these feature recycled Nike Grind rubber on high abrasion and drag areas for enhanced durability. Think of this as the region that sits just above the soleplate to upper join. To the touch, it feels slightly rough but it serves its purpose pretty perfectly.



Underfoot, the Nike MagistaX features a responsive Lunarlon midsole, perfect for a little extra spring back on indoor courts (IC). The honeycomb style panels that line the soleplate are the same ones used on prior Elastico series, so it is obviously an area that Nike have confidence in.

This Monday adidas radically overhauled their football boot scene, announcing the demise of the adizero, Predator, 11Pro and Nitrocharge, as well as the introduction of the brand new ACE and X. Yesterday we went through what’s new about the Ace and today we give you a closer look at the Adidas X 15.1 "Meteor Shower" features, so you know everything there is to know about the revolution.

Straight off the bat, let us just say, this truly is a revolution. It’s nothing like anything we have ever seen before and jam-packed with groundbreaking technology. The Adidas X 15.1 "Meteor Shower" is built for the player who dares break the mould, who causes chaos in the opposition's backline and can give the team that creative spark, which in the end decides the game.

This player can’t be contained and can’t be controlled. Imagine when you saw Gareth Bale knock the ball past Marc Batra and completely outpace the stranded Barcelona defender. Earlier this morning Nike unveiled their brand new Nike Mercurial Superfly IV Spray Pack, where they coated their boots in some serious colour, which came in a unique spray design. Among them were naturally the always popular Mercurial boots, which we take a look at here.

He will naturally not be the only player wearing these, but it will be interesting to see if this new colourway tempts him. - I certainly would be.

Madrid was the place to be Friday, as Nike introduced the world to their latest explosive speed release – the Nike Mercurial Superfly. Cristiano Ronaldo will be the focus player wearing the boot that was born after four years of R&D in the Nike Sport Research Lab.  Driven by insights from the world’s fastest athletes, the Superfly is created to revolutionize speed.



The Mercurial Superfly’s revolutionary design is driven through Nike’s most advanced technology: Nike Flyknit. A new three-knit weave puts less material between the foot and the ball to enhance players’ touch – a vital element when operating at high speeds.

The high-top Dynamic Fit Collar, which radically transforms the Mercurial silhouette, is designed to create a better fit and a heightened sensation of the boot as an extension of the foot. We got to experienced this same design concept while testing the Magista and it makes for an interesting addition.

There are definitely no prizes for guessing how the flag features, because from the pictures it’s pretty apparent. I think it’s a magnificent way of showing his pride in playing and representing his country everywhere he goes. The boots design is in and of itself classy enough that it will go well with the Barcelona kit, but then just take a second to imagine the next time he plays for Argentina - matching from top to toe.

2015 has undoubtedly been Messi’s year. There can’t be many who would argue against it if he ends up winning this season's Ballon d’Or, because he has elevated his game beyond anything we have ever seen. What makes this boot great in my eyes is not really the visual expression, because there it’s really only a white and blue boot. Weekend boot spots: Old school spots from Figo, Henry and Cafu

The international break, it’s never welcomed by many. It did however this time round make room for a very special exhibition match, which has taken up a great part of our boot spots, because the legends playing brought some serious heat. Get to see what this weekend had to offer here...

Playing on the side of the Laureus All Stars was Edgar Davids, who had pulled out something very interesting for the game against the Real Madrid legends. He channeled his inner Messi and it looked like it worked, because he managed to score two very decent goals.

Luis Figo (Real Madrid Legends) - Nike Magista Opus Custom

Luis Figo was the man to open the scoring in what turned out to be a goal fiesta that finished 6-5 to the Laureus All Stars. He did so in a pair of custom made Magista Opus, which had been fitted with a custom made soleplate. Retired, but still being spoiled by Nike.

Cafu (Laureus All Stars) - adidas X15

The legendary Brazilian is definitely in and among the very best right backs of all time and was always known for his silky skill, which always had an element of unpredictability to them. In that case it’s hard to find a better boot for him than the X15, which were also his weapon of choice for the charity game.

There wasn’t much in the way of great spots in the international fixtures, but this makes up for that. Cascairo from Gibraltar rocked a pair of the adidas Predator Accelerator remakes from 2014. They sold out in no time at all, so he is very fortunate to have a pair and very brave to dare play in them. Take care of them mate!

Thierry Henry (Laureus All Stars) - PUMA King II

At this point we wouldn’t blame you, if you were starting to wonder if every single legendary player was playing in the Charity Match. Well almost and another was Thierry Henry, who popped up in a pair of PUMA King, which he also wore towards the end of his career. An elegant choice for an elegant player, who also showed glimpses of his amazing skill.

It was a bit of a throwback boot spot selection, with some of the footballing world’s most legendary players and what their boot choices are. What was your favourite spot and were there any of the international matches were you saw something else interesting?
